大規模再開発が進むオフィス街の中で、小さな雑居ビル群が残る一角に計画した賃貸オ フィスビルである。敷地の西側には日本橋川が流れ、その上を首都高速道路が走る。 低層部は川と桜並木を持つ対岸の遊歩道、中層部は南東の五叉路、高層部は首都高の向こうに広がる広域の都市景観、というように、周辺環境のダイナミックな変化に応じて各階のフロアプランや 視線の抜ける方向を変化させた。結果としていくつものボリュームを積み重ねたような 外観となり、ボリュームの隙間には多様な屋外の居場所が生まれた。屋外避難階段は、 それらの居場所をつなぐ立体街路となる。都市の自然とインフラが混在する環境に敏感 に反応した、新しいワークスペースのあり方の提案である。
This is a rental office building in central Tokyo. The front side of the building faces a five-road junction, while the backside faces a river and the Metropolitan Expressway running above it. As we made each floor plan different shapes in response to the dynamic changes in the surrounding environment, the building looks like a stack of multiple volumes. The gaps between them are various outdoor places, and the staircase connects them like a three-dimensional pathway. This proposal is for a new type of office building that responds sensitively to the urban situation, a mixture of nature and infrastructure.
